Thank you for visiting the Marian Clinic website. We hope you will spend a little time getting to know us. We are honored to play a vital role in the health and well-being of the Topeka/Shawnee County community we serve.

Founded by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth in 1988, the Marian Clinic's mission is to provide health care, hope and healing to uninsured, low-income individuals and families of all faiths. During 2012 the Clinic expects to provide 17,250 patient visits to around 4,800 patients. (Click here for Eligibility requirements.)

The Clinic offers a wide range of health care services, including: Medical, Dental, Medications, Women's Health Care, Mental Health Care, and Case Management services.

While the Marian Clinic is not a free clinic, it is designed to make access to quality health care affordable for those who otherwise have nowhere else to turn. Because our patients lack insurance, Marian Clinic is not financed through the traditional service model.

Patients are charged a modest fee at the time of their appointment, however no qualified patient is turned away for an inability to pay. Our overhead is kept low due to three components:

• our sponsorship by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health Systems;
• the charity of numerous public and private donations and grants;
• and the 200+ volunteer health care professionals who generously volunteer their time and skills to treat our patients.

In addition, Marian Clinic partners with St. Francis Health Center and Stormont-Vail HealthCare, Inc. for laboratory and diagnostic tests and hospitalization of our patients, as well as with many other health-related and social-support organizations, to insure that our patients receive optimal care.

It is a testament to the vision and leadership of this community that Marian Clinic receives support from so many sources in order to benefit the common good.
